Widemouth Bay Surf Guide
Widemouth Bay in North Cornwall is a fairly exposed beach and reef break that has fairly consistent surf and can work at any time of the year. Offshore winds blow from the east. Groundswells and windswells are equally likely and the ideal swell direction is from the west northwest. The beach break offers both left and right hand waves and there is right hand reef break too.. Surfable at all stages of the tide. It's often crowded here. Submerged rocks are a hazard.

“A broad sandy beach that is rock strewn on the right side of the bay so watch out at high tide if you don't know the area. The waves are quite average in quality although there are good banks that come into play during lower stages of the tide, sometimes causing waves to back-off and sometimes causing fast running hollow close outs.
Touristy Bude is a short drive away for accommodation and beers while there are couple of spots to eat and stay at the beach itself. Parking is right next to the beach and there is a good vibe in the water even when busy.”
