Home away from home ![]() ![]() | As I thought it might be a good mate for my 1956 Clipper Custom Sedan, I’ve been in communication with the owner of the 1956 Custom Constellation but sadly we’re too far apart on price. He is willing to come down considerably from the $6,500 he’s asking but not enough to make it worthwhile including shipping to get it. It is Tangier Red and Dover White just like mine but the colors are reversed which was an option. It has a black and white interior while mine is grey and black. Posted on: 2/23 3:59

Home away from home ![]() ![]() | 1950 Club Sedan. Abandoned restoration project but much work has been completed. Bodywork is done and car is in primer. Ad states $5K in new chrome, new WW tires and new radiator core. This one looks very promising. Asking $8,500 which sounds reasonable if description is accurate. Duluth, MN: https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/112136275468553/?ref=notif&hoisted_items=2552469778248320 1950 Sedan. Believe it is a Standard Eight. Nice, presentable driver. Looks good for the asking price. This could be a great entry level Packard for someone. Asking $8,900. Georgia: 1948 Henney Hearse. Very rough and rusty and probably only good for parts. Faded sign on rear door indicates that the car was once used by an upholstery business after its funeral days were over. Seller is asking $1,500. Minnesota. 1952 Mayfair Hardtop. Fully restored car. Looks very sharp in black over pale yellow with matching two tone interior. Ultramatic. Asking $25,995. I like this one. Idaho: 1940 120 Touring Sedan. Abandoned restoration project. In primer, looks complete. Asking $10K. California: 1940 120 Touring Sedan. Running and driving car, maybe not that great cosmetically, but body looks exceptionally straight. Ad states engine has been rebuilt. Asking $12,500. Los Angeles, CA: 1948 Club Sedan. Believe it is a Deluxe Eight. Nice car, very clean and rust free. Solid black paint job with good gloss. Interior has been redone and looks correct. Think it is worth the asking price of $15K. Eugene, OR: Posted on: 2/23 14:24

Home away from home ![]() ![]() | 1954 Patrician. Rough, rusty parts car, but for only $600. Nice hubcaps. Wisconsin: 1953 Clipper Deluxe Club Sedan. Very rough but looks complete. Asking $800. Kentucky: 1954 Clipper Super Panama hardtop. Blurry photos, so difficult to tell much. Looks complete, but needs restoration. Ad stated 66K original miles. Utah: Two 23rd Series Packards, a four door sedan and a club sedan. Both need work. Club sedan in process of being street-rodded and has a modern V-8 installed. Sedan looks all original. Asking $10K for both. Utah: 1936 120 Touring Coupe (two door sedan). Beautiful frame off restoration, looks great. Has rare artillery wheels. Asking $29,500. Idaho: 1941 120 Coupe. Restoration in progress. Body in primer with most body work done. Ad states over $8K in new chrome. Asking $17,500. Washington state: 1953 Clipper Deluxe Sedan. Very clean, nice interior. Attractive two-tone green paint scheme. Asking $15K. Nashville, Tennessee Craigslist: https://nashville.craigslist.org/cto/d/lyles-classic-1953-packard/7721184416.html Posted on: 3/5 14:02

Home away from home ![]() ![]() | Rough project cars or parts: 1952 Mayfair hardtop. Very rough, all glass smashed out, but appears complete. Body does not look too bad. Georgia: 23rd Series Sedan. Appears to be a Super Eight. Ad states ran when parked (sure it did) but car has been sitting outside for at least 10 years. Florida: 1953 Clipper Sedan. Very rough, grille knocked out. Looks like car was shot with primer and then left outside for an extended period, so considerable surface rust. Miami, FL: 1954 Cavalier. Rusty and rough from years of outdoor storage. Might make a good lawn ornament. Only $500. Florida: Posted on: 3/5 16:14

Home away from home ![]() ![]() | The tag on the desk is interesting. I was given this one some years ago by a co-worker who said it came from a locker in the Philadelphia Packard Distributorship. Now I'm wondering if what I was told is wrong or did someone create an inauthentic piece of antique furniture to increase the value of the desk. Attach file:

I can't say for certain but I can see it being off a locker. Every company I have ever worked for attaches a similar tag to assets for two main reasons - deters theft and for asset tracking for accounting. These tags help identify assets during inventory cycle counts and audits. Most companies use a prefix to denote a certain asset class. Packard may have used "Z" for "Office Furniture", which a locker would probably be listed. Office furniture has its own depreciation schedule for tax purposes, why this is done. Also note, these tags are usually nothing special in terms of showing provenance of origin.. these get changed in format all the time by companies.. probably both real. Posted on: 3/7 6:39

Home away from home ![]() ![]() | I believe the desk might be a fake. The tag appears to be from a locker. Compare it to the tag from the chair. Tag on chair says property of PMC and is attached differently. Desk tag appears to have new screws. Posted on: 3/7 10:30
