Central Mississippi:

Belhaven Block Party – Jackson – Friday

  • There will be live music, drinks and ice cream.

Concrete Studio – Jackson – Friday

  • There will be great stories from local creatives. Bring a chair. Food and drinks will be provided.

HiiRollers Club Show – Jackson – Friday

  • In this Hip-Hop/NuNeoSoul showcase, Dré Dys, alongside his family: Dolla Black, Vitamin Cea, Fluseph, T. Woods, & samuhRy, will provide a one of a kind experience that will celebrate life, love, Black voices, and music.

Fleet Feet Coffee Run– Ridgeland – Friday

  • The group usually makes a large loop around the area. After the run, the first round of coffee is free on Fleet Feet!

Civil War Artillery – The Battery Boys from Chicago – Vicksburg – Friday

  • Join a ranger to learn about Civil War Artillery and discuss what it meant to work as a team against difficult challenges.

Freedom Summer Free Weekend – Jackson – Friday, Saturday & Sunday

  • Thanks to support from Higher Purpose Co., the Two Mississippi Museums–Museum of Mississippi History and Mississippi Civil Rights Museum–will offer free admission in commemoration of the 60th anniversary of Freedom Summer.

Flags from Mississippi– Jackson – Friday, Saturday & Sunday

  • The exhibit features 20 flags made from a variety of fabrics, such as wool and silk. Some were sewn by hand. Highlights include an original Magnolia flag, adopted in 1861 as the first official flag of Mississippi, that has been saved by conservators after it became severely fragmented.

“Thank You Please Come Again” Exhibit– Jackson – Friday, Saturday & Sunday

  • Thank You Please Come Again features twenty-two photographs that document photojournalist Kate Medley’s ten-year journey through the heart of the American South.

  • This event will be at Levee Street Marketplace.

Vicksburg Farmers’ Market – Vicksburg – Saturday

  • This event will be from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Farmers’ Market Lot on the corner of Jackson and Washington Street. This is a Mississippi Certified Farmers’ Market.

601 JXN Day – Jackson – Saturday and Sunday

  • Organizers said the weekend will be celebrated with new events, existing events, special promotions, and specially curated engagement opportunities.

On Gawd Ju Skate Jam – Jackson – Saturday and Sunday

  • This contest will include many well-known Jackson skate spots—Planny, Thalia, and The Slab—along with 601 JXN Day events.

State Games of MS Ultimate Flying Disc Tournament – Ridgeland – Saturday and Sunday

  • The tournament will be held at Freedom Ridge Park.

Sunday Brunch – Jackson – Sunday

  • Indulge in a laid-back, mouthwatering brunch. From Steak and Eggs, Breakfast Tacos to Sweet Potato Pancakes, cinnamon rolls and one of the best traditional breakfast plates in town.
